Pulling at the Roots is our series of three short site-specific plays that guide the audience on a journey through three centuries of Northampton history. Set and staged in the restored historic barn and the grounds of Historic Northampton, the dramas of Pulling at the Roots examine the meaning of home and women’s search for autonomy and breathe the life of humanity into stories often flattened by history. Written by Talya Kingston, Jasmine Rochelle Goodspeed, and Patrick Gabridge, and directed by Brianna Sloane. (Here’s a link to a profile piece that appeared in the Hampshire Gazette about the 2023 production.)

The show runs June 19-June 29, 2024 (Wednesday through Sunday at 6:30pm; Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2pm) on the grounds (and in a restored barn) at Historic Northampton, 46 Bridge Street, Northampton, MA.

Tickets go fast and seating is limited, so don’t delay. (Our 2023 production was completely sold out.) Please help spread the word to any friends you have in Western MA.
